A Climbing Cub is a 2-bedroom property, featuring a sunny brand new patio with a mountain views. Close to Ruidoso mid town, A Climbing Cub features a full kitchen, fireplace, and an outdoor grill. Enjoy the mountains and nature at its finest.

A Climbing Cub is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, air-conditioned home that can sleep up to six when the sofa sleeper is used. From the moment you arrive, you’ll know you’re in a place where you can make wonderful memories with friends and family.

When you enter the living room, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the large deck visible through sliding glass doors. You’ll spend many an hour enjoying nature, and sharing vacation stories out on this wonderful deck. It’s also fun to dine out on the deck. Grill up the trout you catch in the Ruidoso River and enjoy them outdoors in the pine-scented breeze. Everything tastes great in the mountain air.

A Climbing Cub living room is outfitted with comfortable chairs and a large sofa where you can watch the flat-screen TV. In winter, a wood stove in the dining room supplements the central heating to keep everyone warm and cozy.

You have a fully equipped kitchen waiting for you to prepare your favorite recipes. All you add are your good recipes and food you pick up at the grocery store. We supply all the cookware, appliances, utensils, and serving ware you need to feed your group. If you’re dining inside, your A Climbing Cub dining room has a table that seats the family.

Of course, you can always head into downtown Ruidoso for a tasty meal and maybe a little entertainment. Go downtown and explore the possibilities. After a day of fishing, skiing, golfing or exploring the sites you’ll be more than ready to get a good night’s sleep. Your primary bedroom is just the cozy retreat you were hoping to find. With a queen-sized bed, nightstands with reading lamps, and a ceiling fan to gently stir the air, it won’t take long for you to drift off to dreamland.

Your primary bathroom is just steps from your bed and is equipped with a shower/tub combination and plenty of thirsty towels and washcloths to use during your stay. Before you know it, you’ll be out on the deck enjoying your first morning cup of coffee to the sounds of the Ruidoso River flowing at the edge of the backyard.

The second bedroom features a queen-sized bed, ceiling fan, and wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Before guests drop off to sleep, they may want to step through the sliding glass doors and watch the stars come out in the mountain sky. It’s a light show they’ll remember always.

Guests will appreciate the convenience of having their own private bathroom. It makes it so much easier for everyone to get ready for a new day. There’s no hassling for a turn in the shower. The second bathroom has a shower/tub combination with a vanity, sink, and mirror for shaving or fixing hair.

Another convenience of staying at A Climbing Cub is your in-home washer and dryer. No hanging out at the Laundromat for you!

Reviews for A Climbing Cub
Cozy upper canyon home w/creek in backyard
Perfect location in upper canyon with the Ruiodoso creek right in the backyard. Everything was provided just as was told in advertising. Extra blankets had to be washed as they had hair on them. Next time we will just bring extras of our own. Enjoyed sitting out on the back deck morning and night to listen to the running water of the creek. Loved the Apple trees in the backyard. Also enjoyed games of scrabble, cards, and puzzles also provided. Def would return. Some furniture and bedding are a little outdated but still clean and well maintained.

Not the Ritz, older home with LOTS of pine paneling, comfortable and very clean. No Wi/Fi the week we were there, probably the weather. We enjoyed it.

Comfortable, clean and welcoming
Loved having a fenced in area for our 2 golden retrievers- they even learned how to use the dog-doors. Great patio area, partly with a roof, partly open. Many conveniences and appliances (more than we have at our home!). Well supplied with towels and bedding. Heard turkeys and saw deer wandering around. Had trouble at first getting into the cabin due to the wet weather swelling the door but quick and thorough work by handyman remedied the problem. Thanks for the get-away.

We absolutely love the place!
This is our 3 year back at the same rental. Place lacks good plugs for bathtub and sinks, but otherwise we absolutely love the place. It's fits all our needs and is a reasonable price. We will continue using it!
