Description for About Time
Isn’t it About Time you got away from it all? Tucked away among towering spruces and pines while still close to everything Ruidoso has to offer, this rustic, two-story log cabin will welcome your group with a steaming hot tub, gas grill, spacious deck, fireplace, and all the amenities you could need and want.
Upon entering the living room, you’ll be immediately drawn in by About Time’s tasteful southwestern décor, floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views, comfortable seating and inviting fireplace. Whether you’re visiting with the family or a group of friends you’ll be delighted with open-plan living and dining area that brings everyone together, creating a celebratory atmosphere. The living area is made to entertain, with a large, flat-screen cable TV perfectly situated, DVD player and CD player. Free WiFi is also included. There’s plenty of space to lounge around, too, with a wide sofa and two cozy armchairs.
Over in the dining area, a broad, farmhouse-style table seats six for family-style dining or a rousing game of Monopoly. A few steps away, the deceptively small kitchen, well stocked with cookware and stylishly designed, all the stainless-steel appliances you need, and a hardwood floor, offers lots of room for food prepping, serving, and eating at a spacious breakfast bar with pressed tin sides. And there’s plenty of storage, too, so you can stock up on supplies and spend your vacation enjoying yourself instead of making repeated trips to the grocery store.
Now step out to the deck. About Time’s view is enchanting, and you’ll love relaxing and watching the local wildlife. A gas grill is ready for you to whip up your favorite burgers, steaks, and or fresh-caught fish from one of the nearby lakes. It’s a delightful space to watch the twilight approach. And don’t forget about the hot tub! This steamy spot has enough room for you and your other half or a couple of friends to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the view in most any weather.
Back inside, two of the three beautifully decorated bedrooms have a queen-sized bed, while the third includes a king-size bed, making About Time perfectly suited for three couples vacationing together. But it’s also ideal for families, with a sleeper sofa in the living room makes room for two more, so the cabin can sleep eight with no problem. And three full bathrooms (one a primary suite with double vanity and large soaking tub) plus a half bath means no endless waiting! Each full bath is as handsomely decorated as the rest of the house, two with tiled counters and floors, and well-stocked with plenty of towels. There’s also extra bedding to keep you warm on cold mountain nights. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, central air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep you comfortable on summer days, and a two-car garage and driveway.
One of the best things about About Time, however, is its location! If you’re here in the winter for the snow, Ski Apache is just over 40 minutes away. Closer still is Ruidoso Winter Park, where you can snow tub in winter and soar on a zip line year-round. And there’s plenty to do during the warmer months as well – in just ten minutes you can be at the Cree Meadows or Links at Sierra Blanca golf courses; in fifteen, you can drive to Alto Lake and Recreation Area, you can fish in the stocked lake and explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. And in less than half an hour you can drive to the art galleries and shops of Sudderth Drive, the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Billy the Kid Casino, and much more. Isn’t it About Time you booked your stay? Do it today!
Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be necessary to access the house during winter months.
