Within walking distance of the Village of Ruidoso down town area and close to the Sierra Blanca mountain range, Apache Village 1 is ideal for adventurers or those seeking a romantic retreat. Full of rustic charm, this vintage cabin is a cozy spot to refresh yourself between hiking, biking and hitting the slopes.
Built by an experienced carpenter in the 1940s, Apache Village 1 has been updated to provide modern convenience while still retaining its original vintage look. The honey-colored, knotty pine walls and ceiling combine with the warm tones of the bedding, carpet and window coverings to add to the overall cozy feel, while beautiful, handcrafted details show up in the most unexpected places.
For a compact space, Apache Village 1 packs in plenty of comfort. To ensure you’re well rested for the amazing sporting activities the area has to offer, there’s a queen-size bed and an overhead ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. Take a long, relaxing shower in the three-quarter bathroom after a day of hiking or skiing, then pull a cold drink out of the mini refrigerator, pop some popcorn and enjoy a movie or your favorite show on the cable TV. In the morning, brew yourself a fresh cup of coffee to enjoy on the quaint front porch.
Conveniently located near the HWY 48 (Mechem Dr.), Apache Village 1 is just minutes from restaurants, shopping and interesting galleries. The surrounding area is loaded with opportunities for the outdoor adventurer, from skiing at the nearby Ski Apache resort to hiking and mountain biking in Lincoln National Forest. During the summer, Ruidoso Downs Racetrack features horse racing, while northeast of the village history buffs can enjoy exploring the 19th Century adobe and stone buildings and museum of the Lincoln Historic Site.
