Description for Bear Cave
If you want to be close to town but also surrounded by forest, Bear Cave is the ideal vacation spot for you and your family. Your sprawling, western-facing deck gives you a spectacular view of the mountains. Yet, you are within easy walking distance of midtown Ruidoso and a short drive from the Cree Meadows Public Golf Course.

When you pull up to Bear Cave you’ll find plenty of places to park. If you visit in winter, be aware of potential snowy and icy conditions.

If you are traveling with someone who has trouble with stairs, you’ll especially appreciate the ramp and rail access to the front door. Once you cross the threshold you’ll enter the great room with vaulted ceiling, an incredible wall of windows with sliding glass door out onto the deck, and plenty of comfortable furniture. Imagine the fun you’ll have sitting around a crackling fire in your wood-burning fireplace and watching a movie on your DVD player. These are the moments that make vacations special. Your TV also has cable so you can keep up with your favorite shows.

Want to send photos home to friends? That’s easy. Just use the free Wi-Fi you have at Bear Cave. It’s also a great asset for making reservations or checking out websites for area attractions. From nearby Ski Apache Resort to Cree Meadows Golf Course, you have an endless array of fun activities available when you stay at Bear Cave.

On many an afternoon after you’ve hiked nearby trails, fished in Grindstone Lake, or visited the shops in downtown Ruidoso, you’ll probably settle out on your sprawling deck to take in the forest’s beauty and the exceptional mountain view. Gather your friends for evening cocktails on the deck and follow these up with dinner cooked on your gas grill. Food tastes so wonderful in the great outdoors.

You also have a dining table with an excellent view of nature where you can serve your group. Your kitchen is part of the great room space, separated only by an expansive breakfast bar. With a full complement of appliances, cookware, serving ware, and utensils at your command, you’ll be able to prepare your favorite recipes and delight your guests as often as you wish. At the edge of your kitchen are a full-sized washer and dryer so you can keep everyone in clean clothes.

On many days you’ll want to eat out, and there are many restaurants with tasty fare close to Bear Cave. When it’s light outdoors, you can even walk to some of these.

When night falls, you’ll be more than ready to head for your master bedroom. A comfortable king-sized bed awaits you. As the ceiling fan gently stirs the air-conditioned air, you’ll quickly fall into a deep sleep.

Close by your master bedroom is your master bathroom with a large walk-in shower and vanity with lots of storage. Getting ready for your day will be a pleasure in this room.

Guests traveling with you have their own private retreat. Their bedroom includes a queen-sized bed with ceiling fan and large closet. There’s a vanity with great lighting close by within the room. Plus, guests staying in this room also have a private bathroom. Having a second bathroom makes getting ready so much easier. There’s no waiting for your turn in the shower!

Plan your next getaway at Bear Cave today. Nestled in the woods, but within easy distance of everything you want to do in the Ruidoso area, this is a vacation you’ll remember fondly for years to come. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads.

Awesome
Beautiful home and first class amenities. Loved the view from the balcony. Deer and elk roam around the neighborhood. Found great restaurants close by and took a ride to Cloudcroft and the Inn of the Mountain Gods. Wonderful area for a little vacation. Thanks to the owners and the management company for making this a nice spot.

Perfect Fall Getaway
The cabin was just as described. Kitchen was very nice and updated. Great view from the deck and we saw lots of wildlife. Very close to shopping and restaurants and the weather was perfect! It was the perfect cabin for the four of us, we would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and comfortable.
Had a great stay at the Bear Cave! TONS of dishes and utensils, and plenty of towels and linens. My only issue was the driveway- it was pretty tough to navigate, even with an SUV. I loved that we could park with easy access to the front door. I wish I could stay here forever!!
