Description for Bear Foot Lodge
Built from giant Canadian logs, Bear Foot Lodge is a one-of-a-kind mountain home nestled in historic Upper Canyon and within walking distance of the Ruidoso River. You are more likely to see deer walking past your home than people – that’s how private and peaceful it is at Bear Foot Lodge. With a hot tub on the lower deck and three floors of spacious home to enjoy, Bear Foot Lodge takes the mountain vacation to a whole new level.
When you arrive at Bear Foot Lodge you’ll notice there’s plenty of space for everyone to park.
Bear Foot Lodge is a two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom vacation home that sleeps up to six if the bunk beds are used. Because of our alpine location, in summer the home can be cooled by ceiling fans. Just open the windows and let the pine-scented air cool your family and friends. The home is now equipped with one A/C unit for those days when you need a little extra cooling during the summer.
When you enter Bear Foot Lodge, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the massive logs that make up the walls, ceiling beams, and staircase. Next, you’ll look through the wall of windows that let nature’s alpine beauty into your living room from your expansive deck.
The living room is furnished with two comfortable couches and chairs all with a good view of the flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. After a day of hiking, fishing, or skiing, gather your group in this comfortable room for a favorite movie or to play a game. It’s a home that encourages family fun and togetherness. Bear Foot Lodge also has free Wi-Fi so you can send photos to friends back home.
When the weather is warmer, you’ll probably spend a good deal of time out on your two decks. The main deck is outfitted with a gas grill and large table where you can dine al fresco in the mountain air. The lower deck is where you’ll find the hot tub. After a day of golfing at Cree Public Golf Course or skiing at Ski Apache Resort, this hot tub is just what you need to relax your muscles. What a great way to end an afternoon!
When it’s time for dinner, you have options. Of course, you can head down to Ruidoso for a tasty meal in one of the excellent restaurants. But, if you want to cook in, you have a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen ready and waiting for you. Bring your favorite recipes, stop by the grocery, and you’ll be ready to cook.
You can serve your guests on the deck in warm weather, or gather the group around the long kitchen table. It’s so convenient to get food on and off the table when the table is just steps away.
When you’re ready to head off to bed, you’ll be delighted with your private loft retreat. Featuring a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, and attractive Southwestern décor, the primary bedroom will become your private respite from the world. Your room has plenty of space to store your clothes and also a comfortable chair for reading.
When the sun creeps over the mountains, you’ll awaken and head into your primary en-suite for a shower. The furnishings in this bathroom recall the historic Southwest, including a vanity that looks like an old chest. Out your bathroom window, you can see pine trees and maybe a hummingbird.
The second bedroom is equally beautiful and includes a king-sized bed along with two bunk beds built into the wall. There’s even a TV to entertain those staying in this good-sized room. Guests have their own private bathroom and there’s an additional half bath within Bear Foot Lodge for guests’ convenience.
Another advantage of Bear Foot Lodge is the laundry area. You’ll have your own washer and dryer ready to keep your family in clean clothes.
You won’t find a lovelier destination for your mountain getaway than Bear Foot Lodge. Book your preferred dates today and start planning all the fun you’ll have on your escape to the New Mexico mountains. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be required during winter months to access your home.

Reviews for Bear Foot Lodge
Views and well equipped. Great patio
Great views! Kitchen is well equipped. Unique log cabin that we enjoyed the most but can get squeaky during night. Only reason not to give 5 stars is the shower is strong that it drains all the hot water and there is non left for the next person . I would however go back!
Very beautiful log cabin!!
It was very quiet, nice place to relax!

Loved the cabin, wished it had doors for a little more privacy but other than that it was amaizing.
Great place!
Beautiful cabin!
Nice and quiet
We enjoyed the seclusion and peacefulness that this property offers.
