Description for Eastside Enchantment
Treat yourself to rockstar seating for the sunset every night when you stay at Eastside Enchantment! This lovely condo is just minutes on foot from Canyon Road, yet offers glorious unspoiled views.

Eastside Enchantment has all the laid-back charm of a beloved family home, with unique design touches, nice extras (such as a convenient office for those unavoidable work-at-home moments) and everything geared toward comfort. From the minute you park your car securely in the garage (with additional parking nearby, should you need it) and walk into the cheerful hall brightened by skylights, you'll know you are in for something special.

If getting a good night's sleep is your priority, the two bedrooms and sleeper sofa at Eastside Enchantment are going to delight you. The primary suite offers a king-sized bed in a spacious room with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV (with cable), open-beam ceiling, plentiful views, and private access to the patio with its jaw-dropping views. Slip into the en-suite bath and enjoy his-and-her basins, gaily painted in the Mexican style, in a powder room separate from the tub/shower combo. Bright Mexican tiles make this bathroom a cheerful place to wake up to, and of course, all towels are provided, as well as all linens for every bed at Eastside Enchantment.

The second bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, wall-mounted TV, and shares a full bathroom (shower and tub) with the living area of the condo. Perfect for a second couple, friends, or children, this room is light and spacious. And the sleeper sofa in the living room unfolds to give two lucky folks a nonstop view of the Jemez Mountains!

But Eastside Enchantment is so much more than a luxurious place to sleep. Here you will find plenty of room for your whole group to gather and enjoy a movie, board games, and great conversations. The living room is the glowing heart of the condo, with a kiva fireplace in one corner, million-dollar views along one wall, and ultra-comfortable seating everywhere. The smooth tiled floors encourage the kids to flop down with their toys, while the open-beamed ceiling adds a rustic coziness. Even though Eastside Enchantment does not have air conditioning, there are ceiling fans in the living areas and bedrooms to help keep the home cool. You will have many wonderful adventures in Santa Fe, but there's nothing like coming home to a beautiful, warm setting and enjoying one another's company at the end of the day!

And while you're sharing time, be sure to sit down at the big dining room table for a meal -- even if it's just takeaway from one of Santa Fe's splendid restaurants! Of course, if you get ambitious, the kitchen here is state-of-the-art, bursting with all the appliances, utensils, pots, and pans you need to prepare a feast. But even if you just use the coffee maker, microwave, fridge, and blender for your quick snacks and drinks, you'll enjoy the availability of a fully "furnished" kitchen. No rushing to the store to buy a bottle opener or a pack of paper plates when you come to Eastside Enchantment! Pick up some groceries and you could cook Thanksgiving dinner for a crowd from this kitchen!

One of the best parts of Eastside Enchantment is that although it is made for the perfect vacation, it's also designed as a workspace. A gleaming stacked washer and dryer await all your shopping and skiing togs; the stainless-steel dishwasher stands ready to be filled; and the condo even includes a small office, complete with shelves, ergonomically friendly chair, and enough outlets to power up all your equipment. If you need to slip away to get a little business done, this is a great place to work in peace without having to shush everyone or push aside games and projects on the tables.

Best of all, Eastside Enchantment offers fantastic vistas from a large patio overlooking the valley. With the mountains as a backdrop, you can enjoy the clear, clean air of northern New Mexico in perfect comfort. The gas grill is ideal for whipping up quick meals and the kiva fireplace just right for ambiance . . . not to mention s'mores! The patio table and chairs here may just become your favorite spot, the place you hurry to each morning with that first cup of coffee, then linger long after the magnificent sunset at day's end. The patio gives you the most spectacular views, and you will never tire of looking out at the beautiful countryside. Now, this is the real Santa Fe!

Come and see all that Santa Fe has to offer. There are plenty of exciting and amazing things to do and see around town. Become a townie and check out the local markets and art galleries located on Canyon Road. Engross yourself in the rich history and culture that Santa Fe proudly boasts. Do you like Opera? Don't miss out on visiting the Santa Fe Opera Theatre. How do you feel about catching a play or two? Be sure to make the scene at the Lensic Performing Arts Center. You will also find that there is only a short drive to Dale Ball Hiking Trails, Hyde Memorial Park, and Ski Santa Fe. There is much to enjoy here at Eastside Enchantment. BOOK TODAY!

Reviews for Eastside Enchantment
Quiet, comfortable, and close to everything you want to see!
We had a wonderful stay at Eastside Enchantment last June. The condo is pretty spacious compared to others we’ve rented, with a decent-sized living and dining room area, and spectacular sunsets over the mountains, which can be enjoyed outside from the patio or inside from the living room. The seating area in the living room was comfortable for catching up with the news or simply stretching out and reading. We’ve stayed in condos where it’s impossible to watch TV comfortably due to the tight space – this is NOT one of THOSE condos. The master bedroom, which has its own door to the patio (nice!), features a large bathroom with double sinks, and best of all, a large walk-in closet, with ample space to press and hang clothing, and also plenty of space for all our luggage, packs and shoes. Though we did not use the second bedroom, we did note that it was a decent size, as was the adjoining bathroom. I personally appreciated having the small office area — I had to bring work with me, and it was really nice to have a little space off the dining room with ample desk space and easy WiFi access. I stayed caught up on work in the mornings while my husband went over maps and brochures as he planned our days.   The kitchen was large enough for what we needed it for — making morning breakfast and evening cocktails! There really is no point in making dinner when you’re in Santa Fe, given how many wonderful restaurants there are. And there are plenty right in walking distance at Canyon Road, plus shops and galleries — Canyon Road is a short, pleasant walk from the condo down the hill and over the river. Or you could take a nice, long walk into town — it’s 30 minutes along the shady, tree-lined river. Santa Fe features too many great restaurants to visit in just one week, but we managed to hit a few, and really enjoyed Rio Chama Steakhouse (good steaks, enjoyed at the bar), the Coyote Café (very casual, with great drinks!) and Santacafé in particular (creative cuisine with a lovely, shady patio, in a quieter area of town).   There are so many lovely small shops in Santa Fe, along with beautiful churches and my personal favorite, the New Mexico History Museum and Palace of the Governors. DO NOT MISS IT! A fascinating exhibit of the state’s history with an impressive collection of objects from the old west, plus a collection of meaningful contemporary and historic art over in the adjoining Palace of the Governors — all in a very spacious environment, very peaceful, quiet and cool. I could have easily spent six hours in the museums, and found myself wishing I had allowed more time for the exhibits.   The condo is ideally located in a quiet area right off the access roads to the Dale Ball Trails and various mountain peaks. We found it easy to hop on the highway to head in all directions for sightseeing — west to Los Alamos, south to the Turquoise Trail and up Sandia Peak, and north to Taos. If you head west, be sure to make a day of it — take Route 4 off the highway, visit Bandelier National Monument, the Valles Caldera Preserve, and Tent Rocks, which is SPECTACULAR. And don’t miss Los Alamos and the small, informative Manhattan Project Museum. Another ideal day is to take the Turquoise Trail up to Sandia Peak. Stop in one of the small turquoise mining towns. We stopped in Los Cerrillos, where we found a trading post with so many stunning varieties of turquoise — some rare, exquisite and pricey, but plenty of beautiful, affordable stones. Make sure you visit the Tinkertown Museum in Sandia for a little “sensory overload” — a unique, bizarre collection of curiosities, which one man created, carved and collected over 40 years. Hobbyists will be astonished at the work displayed here. We had a great lunch along the way at The Hollar in Madrid.   Looking back as I write this review, I’m pretty amazed at how many sights we were able to see and how many places we dined during our week in Santa Fe, all made easier by the comfort of the condo, which really felt more like home than a rental.
