Description for Lego House
Lego House is close to everything the Alto-Ruidoso area has to offer. Skiing, golf courses, galleries, casinos, lakes, and hiking trails are all within a half-hour drive. When you’re relaxing inside this elegantly appointed home, however, you’ll feel blissfully removed from the everyday.
Tucked among towering Ponderosa pines, Lego House consists of a main house and detached guest quarters just below. Rustic in style, with wood-planked walls, the guest quarters include a queen-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. If you’re traveling with a couple who want romance and privacy, this is the space for them.
The main house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Having a full bathroom for each bedroom will make mornings so much less hectic! With a sumptuous king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and generous storage, the priamry suite is an ideal retreat after a day on the go. The other bedroom includes, along with its own TV, a pair of twin beds, making it perfect for the kids.
Furnished with an emphasis on both comfort and elegance, Lego House’s living room invites the whole group to relax together after an action-packed day. The stone-surround fireplace is sure to be a favorite gathering spot on brisk winter evenings. Whether you’re nestled on the leather sofa watching a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable, curled up in an armchair surfing the web via the free WiFi, or sprawled out on the carpet playing with the kids, you’ll feel right at home.
When it comes to meals, you have several options. Numerous restaurants are nearby, serving everything from steaks to burritos to spaghetti bolognese. Alternatively, you can eat at Lego House’s handsome dining table, which seats 6 with ease, or you can dine alfresco on the home’s balcony, looking out over the woodlands toward the mountains. Out here you can listen to hummingbirds chirp during the day and owls hoot at night, and you might spy deer, elk, or wild turkeys strolling among the pine trees.
You can cook out on the balcony as well. If you reel in trout from the Ruidoso River or Alto Lake, which is regularly stocked, you can cook it up on Lego House’s outdoor gas grill. Of course, there’s a kitchen indoors too. It’s equipped with a full array of appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware—all you have to supply are food and an appetite. The kitchen even includes a dishwasher, and for added convenience the house has its own washer and dryer.
Perhaps the greatest of Lego House’s amenities is its location. Alto Lake and Recreation Area is only about a mile away; when you’re not fishing, you can explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. The Links at Sierra Blanca and several other golf courses are just a bit farther. No more than 20 minutes away are the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Ruidoso Downs horse track, Billy the Kid Casino, the art galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive, and Grindstone Lake and Trail System. And in a half-hour you can drive to Ski Apache, the southernmost continually operating ski resort in the country. (Note that because you’re in ski country, during winter a vehicle with 4-wheel drive is highly recommended.)
When you stay at Lego House, you’ll never run out of things to do and places to go—though it’s also an ideal hideaway for relaxing and making memories with your nearest and dearest. Experience its pleasures for yourself; book your stay today!

Reviews for Lego House
My Review
Excellent rental Pictures are indicative of the LEGO House!!!Clean! Everything was provided! Wooded view and animal life was amazing ! Close to everything you need! A short drive to SMOKEY THE BEAR Museum and races! Our granddaughter loved saying “let’s go back to the LEGO HOUSE” We WILL be back !!!!! We have used since 2005.... and we will continue to use as our vacation rentals !
Great house!
We loved our week at this house! Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, perfect patio and table and chairs to enjoy the weather, and good WIFI and TV. We would go back here again in a heartbeat. It was close enough to get into town, but far enough away for privacy and quiet. It's in the Alto Country Club area and the setting was perfect. I would recommend this house to anyone!!!
