Description for Paradise on the River
Located on 350 feet of river frontage on a huge flat lot, Paradise on the River is a dream come true featuring a beautiful deck, hot tub, fishing and views.
Paradise on the River offers a park-like atmosphere where you can fish, BBQ, picnic, play in the river, relax on the beautiful, brand new, deck or in the hot tub under the tall pines, and be renewed by nature. This centrally-located cabin is within walking distance to the beautiful public swimming pool and tennis courts. It is also close to downtown shopping and fabulous Ruidoso restaurants.
While the outside amenities are amazing, you will be equally pleased with the fantastic interior of this unique cabin, with newly installed air conditioning! This cabin essentially offers three suites, one on each of three levels. Each includes its own bedroom, bathroom, and living area with either a sleeper sofa or futon bed. So, each level can sleep up to 4 guests.
Three families could share the residence and still have some privacy. This cabin boasts very unique decor and antiques that illustrate the history and flavor of Ruidoso. The property features additional RV hook-up's and also offers plenty of space for tent camping. You will enjoy this nostalgic atmosphere, both inside and out. Come create happy memories and renew your spirit at Paradise on the River.
The dining table seats 6 with ease—no bumping elbows or knees here. You can dine out on the deck as well; the table even has an umbrella to provide welcome shade in the summer. The best seat on the deck, though, is probably the hammock. Swaying out among the crisp breeze, admiring the majestic mountains while hummingbirds sing, just might be among the highlights of your stay.

You can cook on the deck too, on the large gas grill. If you catch any trout from Alto Lake, which is regularly stocked, here’s the place to cook it. Of course, Paradise on the River has a kitchen indoors as well. Equipped with everything from a full-size refrigerator/freezer to a blender to a dishwasher, along with plenty of cookware and tableware, it’s ready for anything from a holiday dinner to a midnight snack. Just behind the kitchen is the laundry room, with a full-size washer and dryer. Not only can you pack light, but you might even return home from your vacation with freshly washed clothes for a change.

The master bedroom has views overlooking the woodlands. You and your special someone can enjoy a romantic nightcap under the stars before nestling under the covers of your king-size bed. The 2nd bedroom includes a queen-size bed. The 3rd bedroom includes a double bed. Each bedroom has its own TV, and Paradise on the River boasts free WiFi as well. Prop yourself up against the pillows and watch your favorite late-night shows, surf the web, or read before drifting off to sleep. In the morning you’re sure to wake up energized and rarin’ to go. As a bonus, there are 2 sleeper queen sofa beds that can sleep another 4 people. There is also an office with an extra futon bed that can sleep yet another 2 people.

And there are plenty of places nearby that you’ll want to go to. In only 5 minutes you can drive to Alto Lake and Recreation Area; when you’re not fishing you can explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. Just beyond the lake is Ruidoso Winter Park, where you can snow tube in winter and soar on a zip line year-round.
The Links at Sierra Blanca golf course is only a 10-minute drive from Paradise on the River. Also less than a half-hour away are the Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area, the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Ruidoso Downs, the art galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive, and Grindstone Lake and Trail System, where you can fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes and horses, and play disc golf; you might also spy ospreys, mule deer, black bears, and elk. And in just a half-hour you can drive to Ski Apache, the southernmost continually operating ski resort in the country.
If you’re looking to treat yourself and the family to a truly memorable vacation, Paradise on the River is ideal. Turn your dream into a reality and book your stay today. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads.

Great house for trip to Ruidoso
Great house overall. Upstairs living and kitchen area is very big, no worries about anyone getting in each other's way while cooking. For those who like to cook, the gas stove is a huge bonus as most rentals only offer electric stoves. Bedrooms were all nice size with comfy beds. House was very clean and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils, pots, and pans. Location was also great, just a few minutes down the mountain to get to town, but far enough away to offer very good privacy. Also close enough to Ski Apache, only a few minutes to the base of the mountain and then maybe another 20 min because of all of the switchbacks up the mountain. I'd definitely recommend this house and would stay again.
