Description for Riverside Dreams
If your idea of background music is the babble of water rushing over rocks, Riverside Dreams is for you. The pet-friendly cabin, which can sleep up to 10 people, is mere feet from the Ruidoso River. As you sit on the covered front porch you can listen to the water while gazing out at sun-dappled trees and luxuriating in the pine-scented breezes. You can even savor the sound, along with the singing of hummingbirds during the day and the hooting of owls at night, while lingering over a meal, as the porch includes a table and chairs for alfresco dining. And speaking of porch pleasures, you can indulge in a soak among the steamy waters of the hot tub.
Thanks to Riverside Dreams’ spectacular location, you can enjoy all the above activities, and more besides. Despite the peaceful bucolic setting, the cabin is less than 2 miles from the restaurants, artisan shops, and galleries of downtown Ruidoso. Only 5 minutes away is Grindstone Lake and Trail System, where you can canoe, kayak, paddleboard, and fish on the lake, bike and hike the surrounding trails, and even play disc golf. In 10 minutes you can drive to Alto Lake and Recreation Area (the lake is regularly stocked with trout!), the Links at Sierra Blanca and Cree Meadows golf courses, Billy the Kid and Inn of the Mountain Gods casinos, and the Hubbard Museum of the West, among myriad other attractions. And Ski Apache is only 40 minutes away. (The same conditions that make the area great for skiing can make driving difficult, so vehicles with 4-wheel drive and/or tire chains are strongly recommended in winter.)
When you’re not out and about, you’ll find plenty to love about the cabin itself. The main living area, for instance, is rich with laid-back elegance and rustic charm. When you’re not sprawled out on the sofa watching a movie on the HDTV with cable you can curl up in an armchair with your tablet to surf the web via the free WiFi. On brisk winter evenings, you can bask in the golden warmth of the fireplace while sipping hot cocoa or Irish coffee.
Just behind the living area is the dining area, which features both a table and a breakfast bar. Riverside Dreams is close to numerous restaurants serving everything from surf-and-turf to tacos. Sometimes, though, nothing beats a home-cooked meal enjoyed in your sweats or pajamas. The cabin’s kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need—all you have to supply are food and an appetite.
Riverside Dreams has 3 bedrooms, each of which includes a king-size bed you’ll love sprawling out on and a flat-screen TV for late-night viewing. This allows the cabin to accommodate 2 couples as comfortably as it can a family. The primary suite has its own private bathroom as well. A 3rd sleeping area is in the loft. Furnished with a pair of queen-size beds, this space is well suited for a couple in your group who wants to stay in the same room as their little ones. Alternatively, you can have up to 4 kids sleep up here. They’ll love this space: The wood-planked angled ceiling and the view of the treetops give the loft a treehouse vibe. If you have additional guests, they can sleep in the living area; the couch converts to a bed for 2. And don’t forget that you can bring a 4-legged friend or 2 along as well.
If you want to vacation with an even larger group, you’re in luck. Riverside Dreams is only yards from Clearwater Cabin, which also sleeps 10 people, and Starlight Cabin, which sleeps 4. You’ll be able to have this quiet cul-de-sac on the river all to yourselves!
Whether you’re staying with family, friends, or both, you’ll find Riverside Dreams an ideal home base for your Ruidoso getaway. See for yourself; book your stay today!
