With a spacious primary suite that includes a private balcony looking out onto rows of Ponderosa pines, Casa Del Rey can cater to your romantic whims. At the same time, the 3-bedroom home is also perfect for a family vacation, thanks to amenities such as a foosball table, a huge deck, cable TV, and free WiFi. Even your pets can come along for the fun.

Boasting a beamed cathedral ceiling and a stone-surround fireplace, Casa Del Rey’s great room invites you to kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. The plush sectional sofa is ideal for stretching out and watching TV; the leather armchair is equally well suited for nestling with a good book. And when you’re not eating at the rustic dining table, you can set up your Scrabble board or a jigsaw puzzle there.

While the dining area is a delightful space for family meals in winter, during the warmer months you’ll probably want to dine alfresco. French doors connect Casa Del Rey’s great room to the wraparound deck, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding pine trees and seemingly endless skies. As well as a dining table and plenty of seating, the deck includes a grill so that you can cook as well as eat outside among the crisp mountain breezes. Elsewhere on the deck is a roomy hot tub. Especially after a day of skiing, hiking, or fishing, a long soak among its massaging jets of steamy water will rejuvenate your muscles and reinvigorate your spirit.

Casa Del Rey’s kitchen is equipped with a full array of cookware, tableware, and appliances, from a full-size refrigerator/freezer to the indispensable coffeemaker. For maximum convenience, the house has a full-size washer and dryer too.

Located in the loft is the game room. The foosball table will delight the kids—and at least some of the adults too. There’s a dartboard as well, plus a felt-top table where you can gather for an all-night poker tournament. The game room even has a mini fridge, so you don’t have to keep running downstairs for frosty beverages.

The primary suite is upstairs as well. This room is reason enough to make Casa Del Rey your home away from home. The handsome furnishings include a king-size bed, a large flat-screen TV, and a seating area. The private balcony is a fabulous bonus. Sit out here after the others are asleep and enjoy a moonlit toast with your sweetheart before cozying up beneath the covers. The primary suite has a private bathroom too, with plenty of space for all your toiletries.

The 2nd bedroom includes a queen-size bed and a flat-screen TV, so that Casa Del Rey can accommodate 2 couples vacationing together—or even 2 families. Furnished with a pair of bunk beds (and yes, another flat-panel TV), the 3rd bedroom can sleep as many as 4 people. The kids will love making this their private clubhouse; every night will be a pajama party. These bedrooms share the 2nd bathroom, which includes a combination shower/tub.

Casa Del Rey’s location is ideal, not just because of its bucolic setting but also because of its proximity to the local attractions. In less than 10 minutes you can drive to Alto Lake and Recreation Area; when you’re not fishing—the lake is stocked with trout—explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. Another outdoor recreation area, Grindstone Lake and Trail System, is only 10 minutes from the house. In addition to fishing, boating, hiking, and riding mountain bikes and horses, you can play disc golf here. For a round of real golf, Links at Sierra Blanca is less than a mile from Casa Del Rey, while you can drive to Ski Apache, with a peak of more than 12,000 feet, in little more than a half-hour.

No matter how you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the comfort and quiet of Casa Del Rey afterward. See for yourself; book your stay today! Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. Maximum Vehicles 3.

This is a very nice place. We saw deer, elk, hummingbirds, and the blue birds. The deck is amazing! I would definitely recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this home. It was very well stocked. The pictures on line were exactly as described. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit therefore we were not able to enjoy the deck as we wished. The only thing we wished had been better was the climate upstairs. Heat rises so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends.

This cabin is beautiful, it was exactly as described. It is in a great location. Very quiet and peaceful area. I would make one suggestion, the master suite is upstairs unfortunately heat rises. We are Texans and sleep best in a cool room. We were unable to keep it as cool as we prefer. Maybe offer an additional fan for those guests. It definitely did not effect our wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend.

Great relaxing home close to town, but far enough away to feel slightly secluded! We love it
