Abbey Lodge
Where you'll be
Description
Once you’ve arrived and walked through the front door into the main Abbey Lodge living area, you’ll be struck by the warmth and beauty of your vacation home. There’s a beautiful fireplace with a flat-screen TV mounted above with cable and a DVD player. You can gather your guests to watch a movie or play a game in this large room furnished with comfortable couches and recliners. With lots of window and glass sliding doors all around, it will be so cozy to watch snow falling outdoors while snuggling by the fire.
One of the great things about Abbey Lodge is its dining area. It is one of the only vacation properties in New Mexico where 23 people can sit down to dinner together. Your guests won’t be crammed in either. There’s plenty of room around the two long tables, both of which offer good views out the window.
Of course you’ll want to tour around the area, hike, ski, and maybe bike. Be sure to check out the village of Ruidoso that’s close by and also near to Ski Apache resort that has runs of varying difficulty and a terrain park. Ruidoso, which means noisy, was named after Rio Ruidoso – the Noisy River – that runs through the village.
On those days when you stay around Abbey Lodge, you’ll want to head up to the third floor where you’ll find a beautifully outfitted game room. There is a pool table, Foosball, Air Hockey, Shuffle Board, and a large flat-screen TV for gaming and program viewing. With free Wi-Fi within Abbey Lodge, you can play games online, send email, and check out websites for area attractions. Your group will have hours of fun in this game room challenging each other.
When you’re ready to cook a meal or snacks, you’ll find everything you could possibly need in your Abbey Lodge kitchen including a huge refrigerator, dual wall ovens, gas cook top, and plenty of prep space. The large kitchen is open to the main living area and has plenty of room for multiple chefs to work side by side. You can even set four helpers up at the breakfast bar to lend a hand at mealtime. Anyone who likes to cook will love the design and equipment available in the Abbey Lodge kitchen.
You may want to step outside on your covered deck for a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. The clear, crisp mountain air smells so good. With comfortable seating and a stove to warm you, this deck will become a favorite gathering spot. There’s also an open-air deck with gas grill along with a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy nature. Several of you may want to jump in the hot tub where you can soothe your tired muscles and enjoy a glass of wine as you look out over the forest.
When it gets late, you’ll probably want to head off to the primary bedroom for a good night’s rest. With the stars twinkling through your large windows and a ceiling fan slowly stirring above, your comfortable king-sized bed will gently pull you into a deep restful sleep. Of course, if you want to ease into the night, you could watch some late-night TV on your private set.
When morning dawns, your luxurious primary bathroom will make you want to linger in your morning routine. In addition to two large vanities with vessel sinks, there’s a huge walk-through shower with two showerheads making it possible for two to shower at once. You’ll wish you could take this bathroom home with you after your stay in Abbey Lodge.
There are nine bedrooms in all. The primary along with two other guest bedrooms with king-sized beds and private bathrooms are on the main floor. There are also three bedrooms on each of the other two floors, each with its own private bathroom. All bedrooms have either king or queen-sized beds except for one that includes a bunk bed set and a full bed.
Abbey Lodge also has a full-sized washer and dryer so you can keep everyone in clean clothes without having to bring loads of suitcases.
For a large family or friend getaway, you won’t find a more delightful mountain home than Abbey Lodge. Start planning now and book your preferred dates in the Land of Enchantment as soon as possible. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 and chains may be necessary to access the home during winter months. If you are trying to book within 48 hours of arrival you must call 575-258-5200 Opt#1. Monday- Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 8-3 to book last minute.

My family has been coming to Ruidoso for years. The last four years I have rented a house through Condotel. We have now stayed in Abbey Lodge on two separate occasions. While we have enjoyed our stay every year, no matter which property we have stayed in, Abbey Lodge is my family\'s favorite property. The house is beautiful and wonderfully kept. When we all get together it is REALLY nice that each bedroom has it\'s own private bathroom. Everyone at Condotel has been helpful, friendly and very accommodating.
