The Apache Village enclave is where you’ll find Apache Village 4, a charming studio suite crafted by a primary builder in the mid-1940s when there was a boom in housing post World War II. Situated as it is amid towering Ponderosa Pines, the cabin feels far away from town. However, it is actually within easy walking distance of restaurants, a coffee shop, several galleries and a supermarket. Hop in your car for a short drive to midtown Ruidoso to check out interesting shops and dine in an even greater variety of restaurants.

Apache Village 4 is an ideal romantic getaway for two. You’ll immediately feel cozy and warm when you enter the studio cabin with its knotty pine walls and ceiling. For an even cozier feeling, build a fire in the cabin’s fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine from the couch as you sit and listen to the crackling flames.

For meals, you can walk down to nearby restaurants, cook steaks on the gas grill out in front of the cabin or prepare something in the mini kitchen. You have a gas stove, sink, cookware, utensils, mini refrigerator, microwave oven and the all-important coffeemaker. You can pick up all the ingredients you need down at the supermarket that’s within walking distance of Apache Village.

If you want, you can take your food out onto the covered porch to enjoy it alfresco in the pine-scented air. Or, gather around your dining table and gaze out on nature’s beauty through the cabin’s picture window while you dine. Wherever you dine, you should plan on hearty appetites. The mountain air and all your activity will make you ready to dig into each meal.

There’s so much to see and do around Apache Village 4. Enjoy the nearby hiking trails or drive up to Lincoln National Forest for breathtaking mountain views. You may even see deer, elk, wild turkey or a bear. If fishing is your thing, you’re in for a treat. There’s great fishing in the Ruidoso River, Grindstone Lake and Lake Alto, which is stocked with trout each year. Horseback riding, a zip-line, golf and tubing (in winter) are all available.

By evening, you’ll have just enough energy left to watch Apache Village 4’s wall-mounted flat-screen TV with cable or play games on the free Wi-Fi. If you want, you can watch TV from your king-size bed. Chances are, if you watch from the comfortable bed, you’ll fall into a deep sleep before your program ends.

When you awaken you can start your day with a warm shower in the Apache Village 4 bathroom. Maybe you’ll want to scramble some eggs to enjoy on the porch with a steaming cup of coffee. There’s nothing like experiencing a new day from this cozy cabin!

You definitely need to include Apache Village 4 in your vacation plans for the New Mexico mountains. It’s affordable, comfortable and perfectly located near everything you want to do on your Southwestern vacation getaway. Reserve your preferred dates today!

Stayed in cabin 4, although it was bigger than the previous cabin and had a kitchenette, it was still pretty small but very quaint. Love staying at this place, the wildlife that comes through is amazing. Deer and Elk everywhere, come right up almost to the windows. The cabin is old so can be drafty if the wind picks up; but, the heater and fireplace keep you nice and warm. Can’t wait to stay again!
