Whether you’re on your honeymoon or just want a few days alone, Crescent Moon is the perfect romantic getaway. Tucked in among towering ponderosa pines in Apache Village Cabins, this vintage cabin is within walking distance of mid-town Ruidoso and a short drive away from the best skiing, hiking and other outdoor adventures Ruidoso has to offer.

Crescent Moon’s adorable kitchenette is sure to please you with its tiled breakfast bar (perfect for enjoying an intimate dinner for two) and neatly arranged appliances. Stock the mini fridge with fruit, cheese, a French loaf and a good bottle of wine, and you’re ready for an evening in! If you want to get a bit more in-depth with your meal prep, that’s fine, too – there’s a two-burner stovetop and microwave oven, plus cookware, plates and utensils that are ready for your use.

As cozy as a bird’s nest, Crescent Moon gathers everything you need to create a romantic retreat in one complete, convenient space. Next to a corner gas fireplace, a leather loveseat (just the right size for cuddling) is ideal for curling up together while reading a book or dreamily watching the flames.

Another of Crescent Moon’s fabulous features is the tub for two located in the main living space (just outside the handy three-quarter bathroom with shower). Sink back into the steamy bubbles after a day on the slopes…situated opposite the bed on the same wall as the fireplace, the huge, jetted tub is just the thing for relaxing while you soothe tired muscles. Later, snuggle into the sumptuous queen-size bed and revel in the peace that surrounds Crescent Moon. Between the quiet, the comfortable bedding (all bed linens as well as fresh towels are provided for you), and the pure mountain air, you’re sure to sleep deeply and well. But if you do have trouble drifting off, the large cable television over the fireplace is sure to help. You’ll love the luxury of watching TV in bed!

In the morning, brew of a fresh cup of coffee and take it with you to enjoy on the covered porch while you watch the dawn of a new day. This sweet spot is outfitted with a pair of Adirondack-style chairs, making it a great spot to hang out and enjoy the scenery at any time of day. There’s even a gas grill you can use to cook up a couple of steaks or the day’s catch from one of the area’s freshwater lakes or rivers – everything tastes better in the fresh mountain air!

Don’t feel like cooking? Wander into the Village of Ruidoso for a late breakfast. Located within walking distance of Crescent Moon, Ruidoso invites you to spend an afternoon exploring its quaint shops, art galleries and eateries. Plan a date night at the casino or try your luck with the ponies at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack.

Outdoor-loving couples will find this area to be a veritable paradise on earth. Crescent Moon is within easy driving distance of Ruidoso River, Alto Lake and Ski Apache. Whether you love hiking, hitting the slopes, fishing or golfing, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for indulging your spirit of adventure. Overall good experience. My wife and I just feel they should do more with the maintenance upkeep, answering the phones also the water pressure is poor.
